Get ready to enjoy this Baked Half Peach Pie Recipe With Peach Schnapps that uses a juicy half peach wrapped in pie crust and has a layer of seasonal spices on top. Then scoop some ice cream and drizzle my homemade peach schnapps sauce over it all.
Use Premade Pie Crust
If you want to make this recipe faster, I found the best way to quickly make these baked peach halves is to use Pillsbury’s premade pie crusts. I have found that 1/3 of a pie crust covers a peach half perfectly.

The Benefit Of Using Uncanned Peaches For Peach Pie
Now, this recipe is already unique since it does not rely on canned peaches/premade pie filling. I use fresh peaches that are cut in half and wrapped individually using a pie crust.
The benefit I find in using fresh peaches over canned peaches is that the peach does not already have any additional sugars added to it, causing the peach pie to be overly sweet.
Another benefit of using fresh peaches over canned peaches is that the peaches from a can are already extremely soft and the peaches for this recipe do not need to be soft before baking, as the cooking process will soften the peaches plenty.
This brings up the point that I try my best to get peaches that are still a bit firm when squeezed but not completely firm.

How To Make Baked Half Peach Pie Recipe
Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Using a sharp chef’s knife cut your peaches in half. Make sure to remove the pits from the peaches. Set to the side for now.
Step 3: In a bowl, add in all your spices, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp nutmeg.
Step 4: Place a sheet of parchment paper over your baking sheet.
Step 5: Grab 1/3 of a premade crust, roll it into a ball, and flatten out the crust so that it sticks out 1-1 1/2 inches past the edges of your peaches. Repeat until you have enough crusts for each peach.
Joshs Cookhouse Tips: Remember, just because I use a premade crust, doesn’t mean you have to. In fact, if you have the time, I highly recommend making your own pie crust.
Step 6: Melt 1/2 stick of butter, not all of this will be used right away. Brush a thin layer of butter over each peach and then sprinkle your spice mixture over the entire half peach.
Step 7: Completely wrap each seasoned peach with a single crust. Use your sauce mop to brush butter over the entire crust and sprinkle on the same spices as before.
Step 8: Evenly distribute the half peaches wrapped in crust onto the baking sheet. With a fork, poke wholes into the crust.
Step 9: Place the half-peach pies on the middle rack in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Step 10: Pull the baked half-peach pies out of the oven once fully cooked and set them to cool for at least 10 minutes.
While the peach pies are in the oven, this is a good time to make the Peach Schnapps Sauce for drizzling over the peach pies and any ice cream you have.
